In the Traditional
(and Conventional) method of Watermarking, the Watermark
is made DURING the paper manufacturing process (using
a Dandy Roll that bears the design which is to be Watermarked).
Once the Watermarking is complete, the large sheets
of paper are cut according to the sizes requested by
the customer.
DISADVANTAGES of the Traditional Watermarking Process
 |
Minimum Order Quantity
is HUGE (Typically Larger Than 30 Tons of Paper) |
| |
 |
Paper Mill has to
recover the cost of the Dandy Roll, which
is very expensive to make |
|
 |
INCONSISTENT Positioning
of the Watermark across all the Sheets |
| |
 |
Since Paper is cut
AFTER the Watermark is made |
